D-Day—June 6, 1944—the invasion of Normandy.  The summer of 2019 marks the 75th anniversary of thishistoric turning point of World War II, and we want to invite you to come along and visit the landing beaches where the Allies secured a foothold to liberate Western Europe from the grip of the Nazis.  

The D-Day 75th Anniversary/WW II Remembrance Tour offered by Bob Jones University is a nine-day journeyfrom London to Paris to the beaches of Normandy.  Some of the many highlights of this trip include: the sights and museums recounting the wartime story such as Churchill’s Cabinet War Rooms and Museum, the ImperialWar Museum in London, the Memorial Museum of the Battle of Normandy in Bayeux, and the Airborne Museum in Sainte-Mère-Église.  Also, included are sobering visits to Omaha and Utah Beaches and the American Military Cemetery and Memorial.

The tour will also highlight many of the famous landmarks of London (Westminster Abbey, the Tower of London, St. Paul’s Cathedral, the Houses of Parliament, and Buckingham Palace) and of Paris (Notre Dame Cathedral, the Louvre, the Arc de Triomphe, Montmartre, Napoleon’s Tomb, and the palace and grounds of Versailles).  Also, included is a visit to the famous Abbey of Mont St. Michel.

Admire London and Paris at night by enjoying river cruises on the Thames and Seine rivers.  Of course, no trip to Europe would be complete without viewing Paris from the iconic Eiffel Tower with an unforgettable dinner at the legendary 58 Tour Eiffel restaurant, located on the first floor of the Eiffel Tower.
